International AIDS Candlelight Memorial
Thank you to all who attended the service on Sunday, May 17 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. We had over 100 in attendance and raised nearly $500 for direct emergency financial assistance that directly benefits clients of ARG. In additon, we learned about the role that Evansville continues to play in the fight against HIV disease and how important it is to continue that fight! You all proved that "Together, We are the Solution"! Many thanks, again.
Songs for Life Scheduled for July 10, 2009
Songs for Life will feature Cynthia McDonald and Bob Green and will be held at the Evansville Museum of Arts and Science on Friday, July 10 from 6:00 pm until 9:30 pm. Firefly Southern Grill will be providing the food and beverages for the evening as well as serving as one of our presenting sponsors. The evening will again support the numerous client-assistance initiatives of the AIDS Resource Group.
Christian Fellowship Church Offers Perspective on HIV/AIDS and Poverty in Africa
CFC is hosting an exhibit that is sponsored by World Vision that allows visitors to journey into the lives of children in African who are plagued by HIV/AIDS and poverty in their daily lives. The exhibit is free and open to the public from May 31 through June. Hours are Monday-Saturday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and on Sundays from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
